A doctorates degree( PHD or equivalent) in Economics or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.A masters degree will be considered for exceptional candidates with revelant teaching and research experience.
Strong research/ publication portfolio in economics , emphasizing applied research, policy analysis or regional development.
Experience supervising student research, dissertations, or capstone projects at the undergraduate and graduate level.
A minimum of three to five year of teaching experience in higher education, with a sound understanding of learing theories , contemporary pedagogical models and the integration of technology enhanced teaching tools.
Proficiency in quantative research tools, economic modelling software and data analysis platforms.
Prior involvment in curriculum development, programe design and academic leadership
Demonstrated ability to secure research funding , engage in consultancy projects and collborte with public and private sector stakeholders.
Experience in designing and delivering professional development courses, workshops and industry focused training programes.
Active engagement in professional associations , academic conferences , and relevant policy or industry forums.
knowledge or regional economic trends , policy frameworks and the belizean economic landscape.
