Job Description

We’re Hiring! Conservation Ranger – Maya Forest Corridor (MFC)
WCS Belize is seeking a Conservation Ranger to support the protection, monitoring, and day-to-day management of WCS-managed lands within the Maya Forest Corridor. This role includes conducting patrols, supporting wildland fire management, collecting field data, and engaging with local communities to promote compliance with conservation regulations.
Location: Maya Forest Corridor Field Base, Belize District
Type: Full-time
Key Qualifications & Requirements
• Minimum high school education
• At least 2 years of relevant field experience
• Good knowledge of Belize’s landscapes, wildlife, and wildland fire management
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Physically fit and able to work in remote field conditions
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, email); experience with monitoring tools is an asset
• Valid manual driver’s license
• Spanish language skills are an advantage
